Unify resize and superres denominator constants · bfbf6a59
      Fergus Simpson authored
      RESIZE_SCALE_DENOMINATOR and SUPERRES_SCALE_DENOMINATOR were two
constants with the same value that did essentially the same thing.

This patch merges the two into SCALE_DENOMINATOR for simplicity's sake.

      Replace '#ifdef CONFIG_...' with '#if CONFIG_...' · 26762357
      David Barker authored
      This affects two places:
      * Fixes a compile error with frame-superres when
        highbitdepth is disabled.
      * Avoids including some supertx-related code when supertx
        is disabled

      frame_superres: Post encode/decode upscaling · d2bcbb56
      Fergus Simpson authored
This patch implements the post-encode and post-decode upscaling for the
      frame superresolution experiment to work.

Upscaling happens after cdef and before loop restoration.

For now, this patch forces on random-superres.

The patch also cleans up some broken rate control hooks from VP9
days, to be brought back later when the resize and superres tools
      are stable.

resize-refactor: Check pixel dim instead of mb dim · 056732f6
      Fergus Simpson authored
Changes av1_scale_if_required to check if a resize is needed using the
width and height from cm directly rather than cm's mi_cols and mi_rows
      times MI_SIZE.

This is simpler, and won't have issues with sizes that aren't divisible
      by MI_SIZE.

      frame_superres: Move av1_scale_if_requrired to common · 090bb60f
      Fergus Simpson authored
This commit moves the av1_scale_if_required functions from
av1/encoder/encoder to av1/common/resize. They take the
      scale_and_extend_frame_nonnormative function with them.

This will be useful for resizing received frames in the decoder for the
      FRAME_SUPERRES experiment.

      Sebastien Alaiwan authored
This causes the HBD operating path to be compiled by default, allowing
default builds to handle all AV1 profiles, instead of only Profile 0.
This doesn't change the current behaviour of the code.

This will help ensuring the HBD operating path continues to compile.

frame-superres: Move resize from encoder to common · d0565006
      Fergus Simpson authored
The resizing functions in resize.h and resize.c are useful for the
frame super-res experiment. These functions will be needed in both the
encoder and decoder, so the files have been moved into av1/common.

Code refactor on InterpKernel · 7186a2dd
      Zoe Liu authored
It in essence refactors the code for both the interpolation
filtering and the convolution. This change includes the moving
of all the files as well as the changing of the code from vp9_
prefix to vpx_ prefix accordingly, for underneath architectures:
      (1) x86;
      (2) arm/neon; and
      (3) mips/msa.
The work on mips/drsp2 will be done in a separate change list.

Incorporate WRAPLOW macro into non-highbitdepth tx · d50716fa
      Deb Mukherjee authored
Incorporates the WRAPLOW macro into the non-highbitdepth transforms
to aid hardware verification between a software C model and an
intended hardware implementation though the use of the configure
      options: --enable-experimental --enable-emulate-hardware.
Note that to avoid further discrepancies between the sse/sse2
implementations of the transforms and the C implementation, when the
emulate hardware option is invoked, we also disable sse/sse2/etc.

Also incudes some minor cleanups/renaming etc.

      Adds a non-normative resize library to vp9 encoder · 3cd37dfe
      Deb Mukherjee authored
Adds an arbitrary-size resize library for use in scaling of input
frames in a non-normative manner in the vp9 encoder. The method
      used is as follows:
Downsampling - Uses a 8 tap filter for factor of 2 decimation upto
a size just higher than the desired size. Then interpolates pixels
at a precision of 1/32 pel using a set of 8-tap filters.
Upsampling - Interpolates pixels at a precision of 1/32 pel using
      a set of 8-tap filters.

There is no assembly optimization yet.
