Click/Pop at the end of the speexfile
I am doing commandline conversions to our wav files. I believe the wav files are headerless, but have the following characteristics:
File Name call_for_help.wav
File Format Microsoft RIFF WAVE Format (wave)
Data Format 16-bit integer (2's complement, little endian)
Audio Data 26312 bytes begins at offset 44 (2c hex)
1 channel, 13156 frames
Sampling Rate 8000.00 Hz
Duration 1.645 seconds
I am using the following command to convert this wav file to speex:
speexenc call_for_help.wav call_for_help4.speex
I am using mplayer, vlc, audacity, and ogg123 (commandline) to play the file back. Results are the following:
VLC: doesn't recognize the file (it seems to play part of it if I play it as an ogg). mplayer: Will play the file, but there is a BLIP/CLICK at the end. ogg123: Will play the file, but there is a BLIP/CLICK at the end. audacity: will play the file, but has no BLIP/CLICK - and the waveform looks fine.
I have attempted variants of the speexenc such as:
-w
-u
--quality 10
--comp 10
--abr
--vad
None of which are providing solutions for me.
