Writing "au" file to stdout causes call to "ao_play" to crash

(It's probably something I'm doing wrong, but I can't find anywhere more suitable to ask for help)

Hello,

I'd like to use "libao" to output an "au" stream to STDOUT.

If I call "ao_open_file" with a filename, then a valid "au" file is created. But if I use the special filename "-", then the program crashes during a call to "ao_play".

Are there any other special changes I need to make, in order to write to STDOUT? I assumed from the docs that I'd just need to give the special filename...

Finally, is there anything I could be doing to provide more useful information?! ;-)

Thanks! Matthew
